What is Canadian IC certification?
IC is the abbreviation of Industry Canada of the Canadian Ministry of Industry. As a government agency, IC is responsible for the certification of electronic and electrical products entering the Canadian market. Similar to the American FCC, IC currently only limits electromagnetic interference. General provisions: only compulsory EMI, authentication methods are the same as FCC, can use self-verification, compliance, Certification authentication three ways.
IC ID: CN (Company Number, up to 6 bits) +UPW (UniqLle Product Number, up to 8 bits) free application, but must have Canadian representative address information.
