Brief Introduction of CEC Energy Efficiency Testing
CEC is the abbreviation of California Energy Commis sion s - sion's. Its duty is to make the energy market develop in the direction of benign competition. The California Electrical Energy Efficiency Regul-ation, introduced by the organization in 1976, is the only mandatory energy-saving regulation in the United States that can influence non-governmental consumption and plays an important role in reducing energy consumption.
The regulation stipulates that electrical products must first meet the equipment energy efficiency regulations when they are sold in California, USA. The regulation stipulates energy efficiency index requirements, measurement methods and phased implementation plans for 58 types of electrical products. According to this regulation, electrical products must be inspected by qualified laboratories in accordance with the relevant regulations or standards of the United States and certified to meet the requirements before they can be sold in California.
CEC Authentication Identification
Test Range and Method of CEC
The 58 categories of products sold in California require CEC product energy efficiency certification, mainly for household appliances, power supplies, lamps (ballasts or energy-saving lamps). Sales of 58 types of electronic and electrical products in California require CEC energy efficiency certification, which is specifically divided into energy efficiency index requirements, measurement methods and phased implementation plans.

CEC Certification Notice for Power Supply
This energy bill has special requirements for the performance of switching power supply. It has two levels of "III" and "IV", i.e. the third and fourth levels. It requires high no-load power consumption and overall efficiency of switching power supply.
The power supply device is implemented in two stages:
The first phase will be implemented from July 1, 2007, with grade III requirements (applicable to 2007-7-1 to 2008-7-1):
Minimum Energy Efficiency Value of Name Plate Output
0~1W 0.49* nameplate rated output
1-49W 0.09Ln nameplate rated output + 0.49
Over 49W 0.84
No-load Maximum Consumption Power
0-10W 0.5W
10~250W 0.75W
