Introduction to JATE Certification in Japan
The Ministry of Management and Home Affairs, Postal and Telecommunications (MPHPT) stipulates in the Japanese Telecom Business Law that mandatory certification of telecommunication equipment is implemented in Japan. The Telecom Business Law was established in 1984. Article 68 stipulates that MPHPT authorizes qualified agencies to carry out qualified accreditation of technical conditions.
