There are three modes for processing SONCAP certification PC certificates:
1. ROUTE A
2. ROUTE B
3. ROUTE C
ROUTE A: Features: PC certificate is valid once, and the proportion of inspection and loading is 100%. That is to say, every ticket of goods needs to be inspected and the whole container products need to be inspected.
Occasionally, Nigerian exporters are suitable to choose ROUTE A model. The specific procedures are as follows:
Step 1: Processing PC
1) Submit product testing report and PC application form
2) The certification authority (such as SGS) audits the documents and issues the PC certificate through the audit.
ROUTE B: Characteristic: PC certificate is valid for one year, and the proportion of inspection and supervision is at least 40%.
Exporters from Nigeria who often ship goods are suitable to choose ROUTE B mode. The specific processing procedures are as follows:
Step 1: Processing PC
1) Submit product testing report and PC application form + ISO 9001 system certificate
2) Certificate issuing agencies (such as SGS) review documents, arrange factory inspection for high-risk products, and issue PC certificates qualified. There is no need to arrange factory inspection for low-risk products.
Note: At least 40% of batches need to be inspected and supervised, and batches without inspection and supervised loading can submit application documents and apply for SONCAP certificate directly.
ROUTE C: Features: PC certificate is valid for one year, and inspection and loading ratio is at least two tickets per year.
A qualified manufacturer with large shipments from Nigeria can choose ROUTE C mode. The specific procedures are as follows:
Step 1: Processing PC
1) Submit product testing report + ISO 9001 system certificate + PC application form
2) Certification authority (e.g. SGS) audits documents and arranges factory inspection
3) The factory has passed the certificate of PC.
Note: At least two tickets are inspected and loaded in one year. The batch without inspection and loading can submit application documents and apply for SONCAP certificate directly.
