Uganda COC
I. Uganda Profile:
In order to ensure the quality and safety of imported products and to avoid harm to Ugandan consumers, Uganda Standards Bureau has implemented a series of guidelines since June 2010, called Uganda Pre-export Verification of Conformity (PVOC), which are based on local political instability and other factors. The eye was suspended. Since June 1, 2013, product conformity certification has been restarted, and the previously issued exporter's instructions and fee information are still in use.

Path A: Conformity Verification
Exporters or suppliers apply for on-site inspection and testing before each shipment to determine that the products meet the necessary safety, environmental or other criteria specified in Uganda Standards Bureau technical regulations. (More than 90% of customers choose this way) CoC certificate can be obtained after the results are qualified. This approach is suitable for low export frequency. If the export frequency is less than three times a year, this approach is recommended.
Approach B: Registration Certificate
Exporters or suppliers provide delivery samples for testing. After passing the test, products of this type (or series of models) can be registered with a certificate of validity for one year. During this period, the registered products only need to be inspected on the spot before each shipment, and the CoC certificate can be obtained after the inspection results are qualified.
When the registered product changes, it is required to re-register the changed model or specification.
Approach C: Certificate of Product Type Accreditation (only for manufacturers)
After product registration, if the quality is stable and the conformity requirements are continuously met for a long time, the product can apply for a license from the PVoC Registration, Licensing/Certification Center. The PVoC Center will review the product test reports and conduct supplementary tests if necessary. In addition, the factory's production facilities will be inspected. After the above steps are examined, the manufacturer will obtain a license for this type of product. In the future, when the product is exported, the manufacturer only needs to provide the certification application form (RFC), the final commercial invoice and the copy of the license. The PVoC office can issue the certificate without each inspection and product test.
V.Notes
1. Imported products with mandatory standards and norms must be inspected in accordance with the technical regulations and standards of that country or other approved equivalent regulations.
2. Prohibited and exempted products are not controlled by Uganda!
