1. Introduction to ISO 14001 Environmental Management System
The ISO 14001 Environmental Management System(EMS) is part of the organization's overall management system, which is used to formulate and implement its environmental policy and manage its environmental factors. Includes organizational structures, planned activities, responsibilities, practices, procedures, processes and resources necessary for the development, implementation, realization, review and maintenance of environmental policies. ISO 14001 is an international standard for certification purposes officially promulgated by the International Organization for Standardization(ISO) in 1996. It is the core of the ISO 14000 series of standards. It requires the organization to achieve the goals of supporting environmental protection, pollution prevention and continuous improvement through the establishment of an environmental management system. It can prove to the outside world the conformity of its environmental management system and the level of environmental management by obtaining the certification of the third party certification body.
2. Requirements for obtaining certification
It should have the corresponding qualifications(such as business license, organization code, relevant national administrative examination and approval qualifications or industry qualifications), have relevant facilities and resources, and be able to carry out normal business activities. Can provide more than three months of business activity records.
3. Procedures for obtaining accreditation
The process of obtaining certification is usually divided into two stages.
Certification consultation stage: after the signing of the contract, our company will send consulting teachers to the enterprise to conduct research to help the enterprise determine the organization, the division of duties and responsibilities, the coverage of the system, and the preparation and improvement of the system documents needed for certification. Certification and auditing stage: the auditors sent by the certification body go to the enterprise to inspect the activities for which the enterprise applies for certification according to the certification standards and the enterprise system documents, with the emphasis on verifying the situation of the enterprise and preparing certification documents and records. The inspection is completed and the certification body is issued with a certificate.
